Quinta do Jardim Secreto is perfect for a brief escape into the countryside, or longer rental for small families, digital nomads, keen permaculturists and gardeners
We are a small family of three and we found this traditional village house in Central Portugal in 2019. We loved it, calling it 'The Secret Garden House' so we knew the perfect name for our accommodation. We love spending our time here gardening, restoring the house and annexes, making jams and preserves and exploring the countryside.
We speak English, a little French and our Portuguese is improving! We believe in 'learning by doing' and we have links to local home educating and alternative lifestyle groups that we can share with you during your stay. Find out more here

We loved it at first sight! A work in progress, our half hectare of mature trees, with established wildlife and new veggie garden is a constant source of joy. We invite you to share it.

Guest Suite
Rosa (named after the beautiful climbing rose near the entrance) is a three-room mini-apartment on the first floor. Rosa incorporates a double bedroom with optional additional single bed, sitting hall with kitchenette and private shower room. Please note the suite is part of our traditional, village house, totally self-contained with a private entrance, but adjoins our living areas. 28m2 total area.

Figueira
Eco-Annexe
Figueira is an independent space (annexe) of three rooms on the
ground floor. Built in stone for 2+2. It is rustic and quirky! It
incorporates a double bedroom with bunk bed, living room with wood
burning stove and kitchen, and private bathroom (composting toilet).
The annexe has direct access to a terrace, the camp kitchen and the
garden. 29m2
